Philosophical Monday: Me

Sometimes we get caught up in the haste of life and can forget to take a look at who we are and perhaps more importantly the evolution process of whom we are becoming.  It is important for us to take time to step outside our preordained schedules and evaluate who we wanted to be and what is still left to be achieved.  This process offers the opportunity for movement in our characters and for greater opportunities to reach our completeness.  For me to do this, I need to visualise the formation of the words on paper.  I wrote the below “Be Me” about ten years ago.  Ironically, or perhaps not, nothing much has shifted as even to this day it gives me a direction and a sense of self.

Just being me, 2011.  Enjoying my favourite pastry of all time the cannoli in Florence Italy.

Me.

I want to change the world.
I think too much.
I believe in God.
I hate being alone.
I love tea.
I have hope.
I give – sometimes too much.
Sometimes I fall.
I hate the concept of reality.
I wish upon stars.
I embrace my scars.
I say I love you.
I want children.
I think shopping should be considered a sport.
Baking embodies my sweetness.
I love shoes.
I’m not that simple.
Pink defines me.
I do understand.
I live to be challenged.
I have heroes.
I am Italian.
Dancing is my escape.
I feel.
I act tougher than I am.
I try not to forget.
I’m passionate.
I can’t lie.
I love being active.
Sometimes I need more.
I bruise easily and heal slowly.
I have fallen.
I have faith.
I will change the world.
