Philosophical Monday: Where is the now?

Indeed the world is changing a simple glance can tell one this.
This is my now-Waikiki Hawaii
For now we are faced with a time where knowledge is something that is paid for rather than something innate.  No longer is someone deemed a genius for being powerful beyond measure, rather a two millimetre piece of a bachelor of something is labelled ‘knowledge’, yet knowledge of what?  More degrees and yet less commonsense.

Of course those of intellect are laughed at when a simple blonde joke is misunderstood; yet how can one be punished for this when this is the very methodology for the way society is construed.  Apparently there are more experts in the world.  Yet if this is deemed true why are there so many problems?  Obviously such areas of expertise are not necessary in the normal everyday happening that is the now.  Why are they still apparent?

Many have learned how to make a living to build that dream house two big for the family after the now typical divorce.  Have we really learnt to live?  Does the use of the favourite perfume bottle or the expensive cutlery really suffice for real living?  So many have said that to use the candle before global warming melts it.  But when the candle is burning as you sit down for a frozen meal, slumped in front of the television twice the size of the wall it is mounted on-have we really lived?  This just highlights the fact that we have multiplied our possessions but reduced our values.
If we read too little do we write too much?  Is the library now packed wall to wall with useless information that hinders the living process and yet aids existence?  So many questions not enough answers.  Or is it too many questions, too hard to find the answers.  Perhaps it is neither; and too much time is spent pondering over what the real meaning of life is rather than the journey being followed till death-where those around you sum up the existence in a mere sentence.  Indeed this proves that we have conquered outer space but not inner.   Does existence on this planet come back to the ‘for and against’ arguments of the yesterday and the tomorrow? Where is the now!
